Before announcing earnings results, Salesforce co-founder and CEO Marc Benioff announced with Anthropic co-founder and CEO Dario Amodei that the companies have created a product they call Claudeforce.

Salesforce revenue in its fiscal Q2 2027 rose both year over year and compared to Q1, benefiting from acquisitions and increased artificial intelligence (AI) adoption among clients.

The ecommerce platform and software provider’s fiscal quarter ended July 31. In June, Salesforce announced separate definitive agreements to acquire Contentful and Fin. About a year prior, Salesforce acquired Informatica for $8 billion. The Informatica acquisition contributed hundreds of millions of dollars toward Salesforce revenue in its fiscal Q2 this year.

Additionally, Salesforce co-founder and CEO Marc Benioff announced with Anthropic co-founder and CEO Dario Amodei that the companies are expanding their partnership, creating an offering they call Claudeforce.

“This nonsense of this SaaSpocalypse, I think it’s time for it to stop,” Benioff told analysts on Salesforce’s earnings call. “That’s why I’m so excited about Claudeforce as well. … We’re combining Claude’s extraordinary intelligence and reasoning with Salesforce’s trusted data and applications and workflows and business rules and governance.”

Benioff called Claudeforce a “dynamic, deeply personalized interface.” It thinks, reasons and acts, according to him.

“AI isn’t trapped in a single player chat window,” Benioff said. “It’s a teammate that works across all your people, finding the right agent, the right action, on the flow work, fueled by all the enterprise context.”

Subscriptions and support accounted for the vast majority of Salesforce revenue in Q2, at $10.8 billion. That was a 12% increase year over year, with a $440 million benefit from its Informatica acquisition in this year’s Q2.

Overall, Informatica contributed $456 billion to Salesforce revenue in Q2 2027.

Salesforce’s Agentforce and Data 360 annual recurring revenue reached about $3.9 billion in Q2, marking 210% growth. Agentforce, specifically, exceeded $1.5 billion in annual recurring revenue, or 240% growth. As of Q2, Salesforce said, Agentforce annual recurring revenue includes the company’s AI, Slackbot and Headless 360 offerings.

Salesforce’s number of accounts with agents increased 70% compared to Q1.

Benioff noted that Salesforce completed a multibillion-dollar contract expansion with the U.S. Army. He said the Army Human Resource Command “expects to drive up to 55 million Agentforce conversations every single month.”

Robin Washington, chief operating and financial officer at Salesforce, said model context protocol (MCP) and application programming interface (API) usage “grew significantly” in Q2. She said customers are embedding Salesforce intelligence, data, metadata and semantics directly into their workflows.

In addition, Salesforce’s help agent has exceeded 5 million customer conversations. It has resolved 64% of those interactions autonomously, according to Washington.
