DoorDash grows its one-hour beauty deliveries to include Sephora, MAC and Sally Beauty — and adds them to DashPass.

DoorDash will now offer consumers more options for beauty and cosmetics products, it announced March 18. The delivery service is expanding its relationship with Sephora and adding new partnerships with MAC Cosmetics and Sally Beauty. Through relationships with these retailers, DoorDash says it will offer customers on-demand delivery of beauty, hair, makeup and nail products in under an hour.

“We see consumers ordering from retail categories more than ever before and trying out new categories earlier in their DoorDash journey,” said Shanna Prevé, vice president of partnerships at DoorDash.

“As consumers have higher demand and expectations for convenience and selection, we’re thrilled to connect merchant partners, like Sally Beauty and M·A·C, with people in new ways and unlock potential additional revenue,” she added. “For consumers, we remain hyper-focused on providing unparalleled speed and service to meet their everyday needs, whether it’s the last-minute beauty essentials or the viral must-have new products.”

Sephora is part of LVMH, which ranks No. 3 in Digital Commerce 360’s Europe Database. Sally Beauty ranks No. 523 in the Top 1000, Digital Commerce 360’s database of the largest online retailers in North America. MAC is part of The Estee Lauder Cos. Inc., which ranks No. 43 in the Top 1000. Digital Commerce 360 categorizes all three as Health & Beauty retailers.

Sally Beauty

All DoorDash customers will have access to a $0 delivery fee on orders from Sally Beauty through May 31, DoorDash said. Additionally, DoorDash will deliver products from more than 2,000 Sally Beauty locations in the U.S.

The retailer previously used DoorDash’s fulfillment platform, DoorDash Drive, for two-hour delivery from its stores on orders made before 4 p.m. 

MAC Cosmetics

DoorDash will add on-demand delivery from all U.S. MAC stores. The makeup retailer has 129 locations, according to its website.

All Sally Beauty and MAC stores will also be included in DashPass, DoorDash’s membership program. The program gives members $0 delivery fee, reduced service fees and other benefits at certain retailers for $9.99 per month.

Sephora

Members of Sephora’s Beauty Insider loyalty program will be able to make purchases during members-only sales events via DoorDash, the delivery company said.

DoorDash initially launched its partnership with Sephora in November 2022 with on-demand delivery from 500 locations in the U.S. and Canada. At the time, DoorDash also launched a beauty category on its homepage.

One year prior to the Sephora launch, DoorDash had already ventured into the beauty category with Ulta. Ulta ranks No. 43 in the Top 1000. Since that launch in 2021, DoorDash has added more than 400,000 beauty and personal care products, it said.
