Sports apparel and merchandise retailer Fanatics has named Afterpay as its preferred partner for buy now, pay later (BNPL) payments processing.
The move means that shoppers across Fanatics’ ecommerce sites can now use Afterpay’s “Pay in 4” and “Pay Monthly” offerings. Pay in 4 allows consumers to make their purchases and then complete their payments in four installments over six weeks, without interest. Meanwhile, Pay Monthly allows consumers to complete payments over 24 months for purchases from $100 to $20,000.

Why Fanatics is working with Afterpay on BNPL

The retailer and Afterpay had already established a relationship that included partnering for Fanatics Fest in summer 2026. Fanatics Fest is a multi-day sports, collecting and cultural festival. In 2026, Fanatics held it at the Javits Center in New York City.

Afterpay framed the partnership as underscoring its “continued momentum with leading retail, fashion, lifestyle, and commerce brands as more merchants look to meet customer demand for flexible payment options.”
It added that fans can expect to see Afterpay and Fanatics partner in more ways going forward.
