Grace Wong comes to Hanna Andersson following more than two decades of work at Beats by Dre and Gap, Inc.

Hanna Andersson, the apparel brand known for its upbeat children’s designs and matching family pajama sets, announced Grace Wong as its new chief brand officer.

Wong brings more than two decades of industry experience to the Portland, Oregon-based company. She most recently served as vice president of global marketing at Apple’s Beats by Dre.

Hanna Andersson Corp. ranks No. 465 in the Top 1000. The database is Digital Commerce 360’s ranking of the largest North American online retailers. The company appears in the Apparel & Accessories category.

Grace Wong’s new role at Hanna Andersson

In her new position, Wong will lead brand marketing for Hanna Andersson. That portfolio will include creative development and production for assets and content. She will report directly to Hanna Andersson CEO Aimée Lapic.

“Grace is exceptional at developing strategies that not only garner brand awareness, but also drive significant business growth,” Lapic said in a released statement. “Her unique expertise in taking brands to new heights without losing sight of what makes the brand special will be integral as we look towards the future of Hanna Andersson.”

Wong’s background

Wong’s past work includes more than seven years at Beats by Dre, both as vice president of global marketing and marketing for Asia Pacific and global strategy, working on the debuts of the Beats Studio Buds and Beats Fit Pro products. Previously, she held vice president and senior director roles at Gap, Inc., leading launch efforts for the apparel brand in China.

Her work extends to agency experience with with brands such as Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer.

Hanna Andersson has traditionally catered to young children and families with its lines of clothing and sleepwear. The brand debuted its new HannaSoft line of baby pajamas in March, using fabric made with Tencel Lyocell fiber intended to improve softness. It also works on brand collaborations for clothing featuring characters from properties such as Bluey, Pokémon and Star Wars.
