Member's at Sam's Club now have access to an introductory Weight Watchers membership as well, along with an ongoing discount and other pricing.

Walmart Inc.-owned Sam’s Club plans to incentivize memberships with help from Weight Watchers.

The two companies announced that Sam’s Club Plus members will also be able to sign up for three-month Weight Watchers Core memberships through an introductory offer. Weight Watchers values that option at $54. When the three months are up, it will then offer the Sam’s Club member a $10 month-to-month membership on an ongoing basis.

Sam’s Club owner Walmart is No. 2 in the Top 2000 Database. The market research tool ranks North America’s online retailers by web sales. Walmart appears there in the Mass Merchant category. Weight Watchers is No. 860 in the database.

Why Sam’s Club Plus memberships are adding Weight Watchers perks

“At Sam’s Club, our purpose is to help people save money and live better,” said Myron Frazier, chief merchant at Sam’s Club. “This collaboration with Weight Watchers extends that commitment by making trusted, science-backed weight health support more affordable and accessible for our members.”

In addition to the special Weight Watchers membership trial and rate, Sam’s Club will also give its members discounted pricing for purchases made through the Weight Watchers Core+ and Med+ programs. The retailer claims those savings will be equivalent to as much as “50% off everyday pricing.” Specifically, Sam’s Club noted that the collaboration with Weight Watchers is meant to help Sam’s Club members who want to address weight loss through lifestyle changes, GLP-1 medication or clinical weight management options.

Sam’s Club competitor Costco added the GLP-1 drug Ozempic to the prescriptions offered through its clinics in 2024. In addition, Amazon Pharmacy added new GLP-1 offerings in 2026.

What Weight Watchers stands to gain

“At Weight Watchers, we know people can improve nutrition, sustain weight loss and improve overall quality of life with guidance, support and community, something so aligned with Sam’s Club’s purpose to deliver value to help improve lives,” said Scott Honken, chief commercial officer at Weight Watchers. “This new collaboration between Weight Watchers and Sam’s Club opens up access to trusted wellness expertise, value and convenience to help members take meaningful steps toward their wellness goals, whether they are focused on nutrition, weight management, medication support or overall well-being.”

Weight Watchers plans to make the $10 monthly rate available to Sam’s Club members for as long as the companies’ agreement remains in place.

All of the stated discounts for Weight Watchers are currently in effect, according to Sam’s Club.
