Weight Watchers offers products and services to assist weight loss and maintenance. It operates in about 30 countries. Among is offerings are digital tools such as Weight Watchers Online, Weight Watchers OnlinePlus, Personal Coaching and other digital subscription products. In its quarterly earnings statement for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016, ended Oct. 1, Weight Watchers reported it had more than 1.6 million online subscribers, up from just under 1.5 million a year earlier. Weight Watchers went public in 2001. In 2015, Oprah Winfrey invested in the company. Weight Watchers then entered a strategic collaboration agreement with Winfrey and added her to the board.
