From launching innovative app features that let consumers virtually try on more than 3,000 shades of lipstick to posting staggering mobile commerce sales growth, each finalist for the Mobile Commerce Award in this year’s Internet Retailer Excellence Awards program is leading the charge in using mobile to drive engagement and sales.

The Internet Retailer Excellence Awards will be handed out at a banquet at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place hotel in Chicago on June 8, as the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition convenes for its 12th straight year. Internet Retailer serves as the official media sponsor of IRCE, which will occur at McCormick Place West in Chicago from June 7-10.

“I enthusiastically congratulate all 51 finalists for our second annual 2016 Internet Retailer Excellence Awards,” says Jack Love, publisher of Internet Retailer. “Our goal is to highlight best practices that all online retailers and B2B e-commerce companies can learn from. We added three categories this year and the greater number of awards will provide more knowledge to the industry and thus more ways for businesses that sell online to improve their operations. Given this slate of contenders, our job of picking the winners in each of the 13 categories will be extremely challenging.”

Finalists for the Mobile Commerce Award this year are:

  • Revolve Clothing: Revolve launched a series of incremental updates to its mobile site and app over the past year, and mobile accounted for 50% of both sales and traffic for the web-only retailer in 2015. (Read more about its nomination here)
  • The Home Depot Inc.: Traffic to the Home Depot Inc.’s mobile app and website has grown more than 500% since 2012, and mobile devices accounted for nearly 60% of the retailer’s online traffic on Black Friday last year. (Read more about its nomination here)
