The latest Allianz payment services will target B2B companies to check the identity of buyers through a database of financial, commercial, and strategic information on more than 83 million companies worldwide and identity theft by fraudulent parties impersonating legit companies.

Allianz, a German multinational financial services company headquartered in Munich, is introducing a new payment service for B2B ecommerce.

Called Allianz Trade pay, the program is a suite of Allianz payment services dedicated to B2B ecommerce activities. They include trade credit insurance protection, a fraud module, digital buyer onboarding, and instant financing through a financial institution.

How new Allianz payment services will be offered

“With Allianz Trade pay, we are now covering the entire B2B e-commerce value chain, from KYB [know your business] to payment, and addressing the needs of the whole ecosystem, from e-merchants to BNPL [buy now, pay later] players, banks, and marketplaces,” says François Burtin, global head of ecommerce at Allianz Trade.

Currently, Allianz Trade is present in over 50 countries with 5,700 employees and 2023 revenue of 3.7 billion euros ($4.07 billion). It already offers ecommerce services, such as ecommerce credit insurance and instant financing for domestic and multinational operations.

“We are very enthusiastic about Allianz Trade pay and convinced that it will help the B2B e-commerce market to grow even faster,” said Anil Berry, a member of the Allianz Trade board of management, charged with oversight of commercial underwriting, distribution, ecommerce and marketing. “Trade patterns are transforming, and as the world leader in trade credit insurance, we must lead the shift in our industry.”
