Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Arrow Electronics and Conrad deliver improved customer experiences with online marketplaces powered by Mirakl

BOSTON – July 20, 2017 – Mirakl, the leading marketplace platform provider, today announced the launch of their next generation B2B Marketplace Platform. In response to significant demand from manufacturers and distributors to launch their own marketplaces, Mirakl has evolved the B2B Marketplace Platform to address complex quoting, negotiation and pricing requirements. Leading global brands, including Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Arrow Electronics and Conrad, are taking advantage of the Mirakl B2B Marketplace Platform.

B2B buyers are demanding faster and more complete buying experiences. For manufacturers, this means owning the full experience from product discovery through purchase without interrupting their channel sales model. For distributors, providing a more complete experience requires racing to scale and differentiating their assortment. An online marketplace achieves both.

HPE’s online marketplace gives customers a one-stop destination to research and purchase products that are sold and shipped by their distribution partners; therefore embracing their channel partners, not disrupting them. HPE recently launched their online marketplace with strategic distribution partners. These partners gain an additional high traffic online channel to drive revenue.

“In our effort to better serve our customers, we’ve undertaken a review of strategic partners who can help HPE create a more seamless experience, from product research on our site to purchasing through one of our channel partners,” said Raman Rao, Senior Director of B2B eCommerce, HPE. “We’ve selected Mirakl because we’re confident that Mirakl has built the best marketplace product. Mirakl takes care of all the marketplace administration functions you could ever imagine, and supports bringing our channel partners into our eCommerce, creating a better experience for our customers.”

Separately, Conrad is using the Mirakl B2B Marketplace Platform to rapidly expand their assortment. To date, Conrad has made more than 850,000 products available in its own online platform conrad.biz. By introducing its new marketplace solution, the electronics provider aims to increase this number to 10 million by the end of 2018, thereby allowing marketplace users to benefit from a broad and varied product portfolio.

In addition to the initial features focused on streamlining product and seller onboarding, the new platform focuses on simplifying the complex purchase process involved in B2B transactions, such as:

  • Pricing management enables personalized pricing, multi-pricing, and volume pricing discounts.
  • Quotation management includes critical negotiation tools and personalized pricing management.
  • Catalog management, with the Mirakl Catalog Manager, provides scalable, advanced catalog integration and enhances product information provided from multiple sellers.

“When we created our initial B2B solution, we focused on providing manufacturers and distributors with a fast onboarding experience to get their sellers’ products integrated,” said Adrien Nussenbaum, U.S. CEO and co-founder, Mirakl. “The next generation Mirakl B2B Marketplace Platform completes our vision of providing a holistic solution for manufacturers – from the onboarding of sellers and products, to the streamlined sale of those products. The demand from B2B organizations to launch their own marketplaces has been extremely strong and we’re excited to deliver a superior platform to meet their needs.”
