The e-commerce services provider gained 129 new customers in the quarter, including Top 500 retailers Beyond the Rack and Chico’s FAS.

ChannelAdvisor Corp. grew revenue and customer count while tightening its net loss in the third quarter. Revenue was up 16.3% to $24.4 million for the e-commerce services provider. 

ChannelAdvisor, which went public in 2013, specializes in helping retailers sell on web shopping malls like Amazon, eBay, Rakuten Shopping, Walmart.com and starting in Q3 on Jet.com, along with facilitating sales through comparison shopping sites and search marketing.

It added 129 e-retailer customers in the quarter, including Dell Inc., No. 12 in the Internet Retailer 2015 Top 500 Guide, Chico’s FAS Inc. (No. 88), OnlineShoes.com (No. 180), Beyond the Rack (No. 189) and Folica Inc. (No. 386).

For the third quarter ended Sept. 30, ChannelAdvisor reports:

  • Revenue of $24.38 million, up 16.3% compared with $20.97 million in the third quarter of 2014.
  • A net loss of $4.79 million compared with a net loss of $9.00 million.
  • 2,910 customers, up 4.6% from 2,781.
  • Average revenue per customer, calculated on a trailing 12-month basis, was $32,748, up 4.4% from $31,375 a year earlier.
  • Fixed subscription fees accounted for 80% of total revenue and 20% came from variable subscription fees, closely in line with a 79%-21% split in the year-ago period.

For the first nine months of the year, ChannelAdvisor reports:

  • Revenue of $71.15 million, up 16.5% from $61.07 million.
  • A net loss of $20.27 million, down from a loss of $27.98 million.
