Former Domino’s Pizza CEO David Brandon takes over for Antonio Urcelay in July.

Major changes at the top are coming to Toys ‘R’ Us Inc., the top toys and hobbies retailer in the  Internet Retailer 2015 Top 500 Guide.

The retail chain announced Tuesday that CEO Antonio Urcelay will be retiring after a little over a year and a half at the helm. Succeeding him on July 1 will be former Domino’s Pizza CEO and current chairman of the board David Brandon.

“I consider it a tremendous privilege to assume this important leadership role at Toys R Us, one of the most well-known retail brands in the world,” Brandon said in a statement.

Toys R Us, No. 40 in the  Top 500 Guide, grew its online sales 7.0% year over year in Urcelay’s only full year as CEO, to an Internet Retailer-estimated $1.23 billion in 2014 from $1.15 billion in 2013.

Brandon joins the company as e-commerce and particularly mobile commerce is becoming more important to its bottom line. In the retailer’s Q4 2014 presentation to analysts and investors, executives said 57% of online traffic comes from mobile devices, and that the retailer plans to strengthen its position in other areas of e-commerce.
