Judy Reiley will work with online wine merchants on marketing deals.

Web and store cheese seller Artisanal Brands Inc. has hired its first e-commerce director.

Judy Reiley comes from Spiegel LLC, where she was senior director of e-commerce for the apparel and accessories merchant. She held that job from January 2010 until June 2013, according to her LinkedIn profile. Spiegel hired her in 1996 as its creative services manager and photo shoot producer.

At her new job, Reiley will expand and “improve the full customer online experience” at Artisanalcheese.com, her employer says.

“Judy’s experience with the same demographic groups targeted by Spiegel and Artisanal will help us gain greater marketing exposure and drive sales for our online product offering,” says Daniel Dowe, CEO and president at Artisanal.  “Judy’s initial focus will be to expand our partnership programs with major accounts and execute a new, proprietary initiative to utilize the Artisanal CheeseClock in a revenue sharing plan with online wine merchants.”

The CheeseClock refers to cheese flights meant to be paired with wine, beer and champagne, Artisanal says. The Artisanal site includes tips about crafting flights appropriate for different meals and drinks. Online shoppers can buy flights after building them online at the e-commerce site.
