Solid Commerce, a marketplace services provider, says it managed more than $1.5 billion worth of orders for marketplace sellers last year.

Solid Commerce, which helps wholesalers and retailers sell through Amazon.com, Walmart.com and several other online marketplaces, surpassed $1.5 billion in orders managed for clients last year, up 37.6% from $1.09 billion in 2015,Erik Simon, head of marketing and business development, says.

Solid Commerce helps companies list and price products on marketplaces, manage orders, update inventory records, and handle shipping.

A single platform to manage multiple functions across multiple channels is a huge multiplier for our business.

Simon attributes its sharp growth last year largely to its launch of services to help companies sell through Walmart.com. Solid Commerce also helps wholesalers and retailers sell through several other marketplaces, including Jet.com, and to fulfill orders through shopping carts provided by Magento, Shopify and other e-commerce platforms. Simon also attributes Solid Commerce’s growth to an increase in its number of clients and the overall growth in e-commerce activity.

Aaron Goldberg, CEO of Cover Shield, a manufacturer of coverings for protecting the interiors and exteriors of motor vehicles, says he has found Solid Commerce helpful in selling his seat covers and other products through multiple marketplaces. “Having a single platform to manage multiple functions across multiple channels is a huge multiplier for our business,” he says. “When selling on multiple channels, having a single platform for listing, pricing and shipping enables us to save time and grow our sales.”

Solid Commerce plans to soon launch a service specifically for selling through Amazon Business, Simon says. The company already helps many clients sell through the business and industrial products sections of Amazon.com, he adds.
