The outdoor equipment retailer names Scott K. Williams as president.

Cabela’s Inc. has named Scott K. Williams, former head of e-commerce, as its president. CEO Thomas Millner had held the title of president and chief executive. Williams, whose responsibilities will include U.S. retail operations and all Canadian operations, will continue to report Millner.

It’s the second promotion in a little more than five months for Williams, who in August became chief commercial officer. Prior to that role, he was the retailer’s chief marketing and e-commerce officer. Williams has been with Cabela’s, No. 63 in the Internet Retailer 2015 Top 500 Guide, since October 2011.

Before joining Cabela’s, Williams was president of sports apparel e-retailer Fanatics from June 2010 through February 2011. He led Wal-Mart Stores Inc.’s SamsClub.com for four years prior to Fanatics, and worked 10 years with office supplies retailer OfficeMax as senior vice president of marketing at OfficeMax.com.

Cabela’s had Internet Retailer-estimated 2014 web sales of $750.0 million, according to Top500Guide.com data.
