RepairClinic.com features roughly 2,000 videos, all produced in-house, that are geared to consumers with little experience doing repairs.

Chris Hall ran his own business fixing household appliances before co-founding RepairClinic.com in 1999. The site aims to offer consumers easy-to-follow instructions, as well as the required parts. Videos are geared to consumers with little experience doing repairs. “Our video doesn’t require you to be a do-it-yourselfer or have any specific knowledge of tools,” Hall says. “We produce very high-quality, very exact videos, so that if you want to change the water inlet valve on your dishwasher you can follow the video step by step and be successful.” The site offers 2,000 videos, all produced in-house, and is adding 10 per week. That’s helping the privately held company, whose online revenue exceeds $40 million a year, to grow at a double-digit percentage rate, Hall says.
