StrongMail Systems Inc. has named Sam Cece as chief executive officer. Cece has more than 18 years of management expertise in software and systems sales, marketing and operations.

Befre joining StrongMail, Cece held several global senior management positions with BEA Systems, including president of BEA’s global services division, vice president and general manager of BEA’s WebXpress Division, and vice president of world marketing. He previously was executive board chairman for StrongMail and serves as the board chairman for Mark Logic Corp, a Sequoia Capital and Lehman Brothers Venture Capital backed company.
