Online orders with a time frame are more likely to be late

Digital Commerce 360 tested the fulfillment operations of the largest online retailers during the height of the coronavirus pandemic. Our research team placed 56 orders at 46 retailers across 12 merchandise categories. We tested Digital Commerce 360 Top 1000 retailers that ranked highly in their category based on 2019 online sales as well as a few other merchants with robust fulfillment operations.

The majority of items were delivered on-time or early. When retailers set a time frame on parcel delivery expectations, orders were more likely to be late.
