The men’s apparel e-retailer will now ship orders to consumers in more than 100 countries.

The Men’s Wearhouse Inc. has launched international sales and shipping to consumers in more than 100 countries through its e-commerce site. The e-retailer says it added international shipping in response to consumer demand.

The e-retailer, No. 294 in Internet Retailer’s 2013 Top 500 Guide with an estimated $51.1 million in online sales in 2012, is using international shipping services vendor Borderfree to enable the international sales and shipping.

Consumers visiting MensWearhouse.com select which country they are shipping to by clicking a prompt at the top of the page. That opens a window where the consumer selects a country and preferred currency. Then, as he shops, all prices are displayed in his preferred currency and at checkout the site displays the total cost of his order, including shipping, duties and taxes.

Borderfree, which changed its name from FiftyOne last year, handles international shipping for at least 37 e-retailers ranked in the 2013 Top 500 Guide, including Gilt Groupe, No. 49, Crate and Barrel, No. 59; and David’s Bridal Inc., No. 344.

Men’s Wearhouse is trying to buy competing men’s apparel retailer Jos. A. Bank Clothiers Inc., No. 191 in the Top 500 Guide. Jos A. Bank already sells to consumers internationally online through Borderfree, according to the Top500Guide.com.
