Revenue for its web services unit grew 29% in Q4.

Yoox Group, an Italian retailer that sells online and operates e-commerce sites for other brands, says its Q4 net revenue rose 26.6% year over to reach 109.8 million euros (US $143.2 million) compared with 86.8 million euros (US $113.2 million) in Q4 2011.

Full-year sales climbed to 375.9 million euros (US $490.3 million) in 2012, up 29.1% compared with 291.2 million euros (US $379.8 million) in 2011. Yoox, No. 69 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Europe Guide, says the average number of monthly unique visitors to its numerous luxury sites rose 24.5% to 13.0 million in 2012 compared with 10.4 million in 2011. The number of orders rose 13.4% year over year to 2.3 million and average order value climbed to 206 euros (US $268.7), an increase of 14.8%.

Yoox Group divides its businesses into what it calls its multi-brand line, which includes company-owned e-commerce sites Yoox.com, TheCorner.com and Shoescribe.com, and its mono-brand line, which includes the set-up and management of luxury retail sites for brands such as Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga and Sergio Rossi.

Its multi-brand line sales reached 262.0 million euros (US $341.7 million) in 2012 up 23.1% from 212.8 million euros (US $277.5 million) a year earlier. Meanwhile, its mono-brand line posted revenue of 113.9 million euros (US $148.6 million), up 45.3% compared with 78.4 million euros (US $102.3 million) a year earlier.

In the fourth quarter of 2012, net revenue for the multi-brand business rose 25.5% compared to a year earlier to reach 75.7 million euros (US $98.7 million). While mono-brand revenue reached 34.1 million euros (US $44.5 million), an increase of 29.0% compared with the same period of the previous year.

Yoox Group launched several online stores as part of its e-commerce services unit in 2012, including Barbara Bui, Pringle of Scotland, Pomellato and Alexander Wang. In Q4, the Alexander Wang web store, launched initially in the Asia-Pacific region, was also extended to the rest of Europe.

The Group also signed deals to launch a retail site for luxury apparel and accessories retailer Missoni in the first half of 2013 and extended contracts for managing the online stores of Diesel and Stone Island by six and five years, respectively

Yoox Group also increased its workforce 26.6% from 469 in December 2011 to 594 at the end of 2012.
