Children’s clothing manufacturer Carter’s Inc. has launched two e-commerce sites, www.carters.com and www.oshkoshbgosh.com. The sites feature a shopping cart that collects items from both sites, enabling consumers to check out once.

Shoppers pay one flat shipping rate for purchases made at the two sites. Both sites offer free shipping for purchases of at least $50.

Both sites feature home pages that offer navigational pop-ups categories, such as perfect presents and Tees starting at $6 that, when consumers mouse over them, expand into subcategories like Shop Boy and Shop Girl.

The sites also allow shoppers to create wish lists that they can e-mail to friends and families.

“Entering the online channel not only provides us additional opportunities to achieve our long-term growth objectives, but it also provides us an opportunity to develop a closer relationship with our consumers by better understanding and responding to their needs, says Michael D. Casey, Carter`s chairman and CEO. We believe these insights will help us improve our consumers` experiences with our brands in all channels of distribution.”
