Wholesale distributor F.W. Webb launched a mobile app that it said helps trade professionals order parts faster.

F.W. Webb distributes parts for plumbing, heating, HVAC, refrigeration, pipes, valves, fittings and other purposes. It operates more than 100 locations across nine states, primarily in the Northeast of the United States.

In its announcement, F.W. Webb said trade professionals must be efficient to stay competitive, and that its mobile app supports that. F.W. Webb said its mobile app allows contractors, facility managers and technicians to order equipment and parts from their phones.

“We spend a lot of time listening to our customers’ feedback — increasingly they are running large portions of their businesses directly from their phones,” said Brendan Lilly, vice president of ecommerce and digital operations at F.W. Webb, in the announcement. “This was the driving force behind the effort to build a native app. This is not designed to be a ‘new channel’; it’s designed to be an expansion of the F.W. Webb customer experience, an extension of the branch, whether customers are at the jobsite, in the office, or on the road.”

Features on the F.W. Webb mobile app

F.W. Webb said its mobile app offers:

  • Real-time inventory and customer pricing. It said users can view products and updated pricing directly in the app.
  • Order status. Users can track deliveries and receive notifications when orders are ready for pickup.
  • Enhanced search capabilities. F.W. Webb said users can browse thousands of products using text, voice, image, barcode and purchase history.
  • Store information. Users can find F.W. Webb locations, hours, directions, contacts, upcoming events and more, the distributor said.
  • Product details. F.W. Webb said users can view specification sheets, installation guides, aisle and bin location, and available inventory at nearby stores.

Additionally, F.W. Webb said customers praised the mobile app during beta testing. It said customers considered the app easy to use and praised its time-saving features.

In the announcement, F.W. Webb noted that 2026 marks the company’s 160th year in business.

It said it “remains committed to refining the customer experience, from digital tools such as the mobile app and online rebate center to ongoing in-store enhancements.”
