D&H Distributing has completed an acquisition of Fulfillment.com, expanding the capabilities of its SCALE division and adding global ecommerce fulfillment services to its logistics portfolio.
The deal brings Fulfillment.com into SCALE, D&H’s third-party logistics and supply chain services arm. D&H did not disclose financial terms.
Founded in 2011, Fulfillment.com provides multi-site ecommerce fulfillment and cross-border logistics services for online brands. D&H said Fulfillment.com will operate within the SCALE organization and retain its existing management team.
D&H acquisition of Fulfillment.com
SCALE provides warehousing, fulfillment and transportation management services to both B2B and B2C customers. The acquisition adds international reach and technology capabilities to the unit. D&H continues to expand beyond its core technology distribution business.
Shaun Sinden, vice president of SCALE, said the transaction strengthens the division’s ability to support brands with technology-enabled logistics and international fulfillment.
Mike Abrams, vice president of operations and logistics at D&H, said the focus will be on integrating Fulfillment.com’s platform while continuing to invest in automation and global capacity.
Fulfillment.com will continue serving its existing customers as part of SCALE. Bob Bilbrough, general manager of Fulfillment.com, said the acquisition provides additional resources to support international expansion and faster delivery options.
D&H said the move reflects growing demand from brands for outsourced fulfillment and cross-border logistics as ecommerce volumes and service expectations increase.
