RetailVerse Web, the ecommerce version of the platform, replaces static images and videos with interactive models built from LG’s original CAD files.

LG Electronics USA has rolled out RetailVerse, a digital retail platform that uses 3D visualization and AI tools to give consumers a more detailed look at appliances before they buy.

The platform went live on LG.com with interactive 3D models of 40 appliances, including refrigerators, washers and ovens. The company said it will add more products in the coming months, with partner retailers planning to adopt the technology later this quarter.

LG RetailVerse Web highlights 3D product models

RetailVerse Web, the ecommerce version of the platform, replaces static images and videos with interactive models LG built original CAD files. Shoppers can rotate products, open doors and drawers, and examine interior components such as shelves and dispensers. Other features include augmented reality to view appliances at scale in a home setting, clickable “hotspots” that highlight product functions, and 3D measurement tools to confirm fit.

To produce the models, LG developed a proprietary system called the RetailVerse Configurator, which automates content management and allows marketing teams to update 3D assets across LG.com and partner sites in real time. The company said AI-driven automation has reduced the development timeline from weeks to less than a day per model.

While the initial launch is focused on ecommerce, LG said the same assets will eventually support in-store experiences, such as interactive displays and kiosks. The goal is to deliver consistent product information across digital and physical retail channels.

LG Electronics USA, based in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., is the North American subsidiary of LG Electronics Inc., which reported more than $60 billion in annual global revenue.
