IngredientPoint seeks to give industry professionals a competitive edge by offering real-time market analysis and product recommendations.

ChemPoint LLC, a subsidiary of Univar Solutions, has launched IngredientPoint, a new digital platform aimed at streamlining product discovery and sourcing in the food, nutrition, and personal care industries.

The platform reflects ChemPoint’s strategy to strengthen its position in specialty ingredients and chemicals through a more targeted digital approach. ChemPoint is a global distribution platform for specialty and fine chemicals. It focuses on marketing and sales services. It also employs over 200 people globally and representing over 70 suppliers and 220 product lines.

ChemPoint launches IngredientPoint

Established in 1999, ChemPoint has long focused on digital-first solutions for chemical distribution. The launch of IngredientPoint is part of its effort to address growing demand for specialized products and market insights in the rapidly evolving food and personal care sectors.

Austin Nichols, president and CEO of ChemPoint, said IngredientPoint is designed to simplify the purchasing process for industry professionals, including bakers and independent food and personal care brands.

“IngredientPoint offers a modern alternative to traditional buying methods by providing tailored product information and market insights,” Nichols said.

The platform aims to serve as a centralized resource for industry players to track market trends and adapt quickly to changing demands. ChemPoint gathered feedback from customers and industry partners to shape the platform’s design and functionality. In doing so, it focuses on speed, agility, and detailed product data.

“IngredientPoint addresses gaps in current online resources,” said Julie Roberts, ChemPoint’s director of supplier growth. “By combining customer input with data-driven insights, we aim to provide a platform that helps customers and suppliers make informed decisions and respond to market shifts.”
