The textbook retailer hires Mary Lee Schneider from RR Donnelley.

College textbook retailer Follett Corp. soon will have a new president and CEO. Mary Lee Schneider takes over the job on Nov. 26, says the company, which is No. 67 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.

Schneider takes the helm from Chuck Follett , who retired as president and CEO in June after  two years.  Follett chairman Alison O’Hara has served as acting CEO in the interim.

Schneider, who has served on Follett’s board for 11 years, comes from RR Donnelley, where since 2005 she had worked as president, digital solutions, and chief technology officer for the printing and logistical services provider. She was hired by RR Donnelley in 1992 and her jobs have included product manager, digital publishing, and senior vice president, technology.

“Mary Lee has extensive management experience and a strong track record for driving growth and revenue,” says O’Hara. “She has been one of the drivers of RR Donnelley’s transformation from print to digital, which is a critical focus for Follett and our customers throughout education.”
