Xometry will soon have a new CEO.
The B2B marketplace said Feb. 23 that president Sanjeev Singh Sahni will become CEO effective July 1, succeeding co-founder Randy Altschuler, who will move into the role of executive chair.
Sahni will also join Xometry’s board of directors. Altschuler, who co-founded the company in 2013 and has served as CEO since its inception, will remain involved in strategic initiatives and corporate partnerships in his new role.
About the new Xometry CEO
Xometry appointed Sahni, previously a Wayfair executive, as president in January 2025. In what was a newly created role, Sahni oversaw the company’s global operations, product development, technology and workforce initiatives. He reported directly to Altschuler.
The leadership change follows what the company described as record results in 2025 and reflects a planned succession process, Xometry said.
“With the company on a clear and increasingly profitable trajectory, this is the ideal time to transition leadership,” Altschuler said in a statement. He cited Sahni’s role in revenue growth and operating performance during his tenure as president.
Board chairman Fabio Rosati said the transition was the result of a formal and collaborative succession review.
“Since joining as president, Sanjeev has demonstrated the strategic and operational leadership required to guide Xometry through its next phase,” Rosati said. Rosati will continue to serve as lead independent director.
Sahni said he intends to build on the company’s existing strategy and continue expanding its digital manufacturing platform.
Xometry operates an AI-driven digital marketplace that connects buyers of custom manufacturing services with a global network of suppliers.
