With its new funding, WizCommerce plans to expand AI capabilities across both front- and back-office operations, aiming to redefine efficiency and growth in wholesale distribution.

WizCommerce has raised $8 million in a Series A funding round led by Peak XV Partners.

The funding will accelerate the company’s mission to replace outdated wholesale systems — spreadsheets, slow portals, and patchwork software — with AI-powered workflows. WizCommerce is an AI-driven sales and ecommerce platform for wholesale distributors.

Facing rising tariffs, freight costs, and operational inefficiencies, wholesalers are under pressure to streamline operations and protect margins. WizCommerce aims to address these challenges by automating complex processes, from quoting and product content generation to personalized storefronts, making workflows more intelligent for both sales teams and buyers.

How WizCommerce will use its Series A funding

The platform already supports over 700 sales representatives and 300,000 buyers. It works across categories including home décor, lighting, giftware, and general merchandise. Recent innovations include Kai, which it says is the industry’s first AI sales assistant, and WizStudio, an AI-powered lifestyle image generator.

“We didn’t raise this round to patch a broken system,” said Div Makkar, co-founder and CEO of WizCommerce. “We raised it to erase the old way entirely. AI will soon be core to how wholesale operates — orders writing themselves, content auto-generated, and reps working with superpowers. That’s the future we’re building.”

WizCommerce counts Loloi Rugs, Jaipur Living, and Arteriors Home among its clients.

“It’s rare to see a platform improve internal workflows and customer experience simultaneously,” said Rishen Kapoor, vice president at Peak XV Partners. “With hundreds of reps and thousands of buyers using it, WizCommerce is on track to become a central part of the wholesale tech stack.”

Justin Kachan, CEO of Sagebrook Home, said the AI tools have made a tangible impact.

“Our reps are more initiative-taking, and conversions are up,” Kachan said. “WizCommerce isn’t just keeping pace with technology — it’s ahead of the curve.”
