2018 Online Luxury Report
Worldwide online sales of luxury personal goods are projected to grow 21% to $33.9 billion this year from $27.9 billion in 2017, Internet Retailer estimates. That’s far faster than the 7.0% projected growth in total luxury sales in 2018.
While there was a time when luxury brands turned up their noses at selling online, that’s no longer the case. Consumers are buying more luxury goods online every year—ecommerce penetration in the category is projected to cross 10% this year, up from 8.9% in 2017—and that’s driving retailers of premium goods to dramatically step up their investments in website development and digital marketing.
The 82-page 2018 Online Luxury Report analyzes the fast-growing global luxury ecommerce market and the key strategies helping the 130 largest luxury retailers grow online.
