Retailers dive into artificial intelligence

Word is out among online retailers: artificial intelligence has increasingly concrete applications and is opening new shopper engagement channels and improving operations. Enhancing the customer shopping experience corresponds with increased revenue, and as a result retailers are getting out their wallets and investing in new technologies.

Retailers globally will spend a projected $12 billion on artificial intelligence, or AI, services by 2023. That’s up by a garish 233% from an estimated $3.6 billion in 2018, according to a study by Juniper Research.

In this Executive Report, Artificial Intelligence in Retailing, we examine key examples of how online retailers apply AI and its subset machine learning to meet marketing and operational challenges. Their successes show how other retailers can apply such tools to streamline processes and grow sales.
