TD Synnex has appointed Kristie Grinnell as executive vice president and chief information officer (CIO), effective Jan. 20, 2025.
Grinnell succeeds Bonnie Smith, who will retire from the role and remain with the company through Feb. 1 to assist with the transition.
About the new TD Synnex chief information officer
Grinnell joins TD Synnex from DXC Technology, where she served as CIO. She led an IT organization of over 1,500 employees, focusing on technology and business integration.
Before DXC, she held the position of global CIO and chief supply chain officer at General Dynamics Information Technology, managing IT, cybersecurity, and supply chain operations. Grinnell’s prior roles also include director of IT planning and governance at CSC and director of client delivery enablement. There, she provided leadership on cross-business units and operational tools for client delivery.
In her new role, Grinnell will oversee the company’s recently revamped B2B ecommerce platform. In October 2023, TD Synnex relaunched its MyShop platform for U.S. partners, incorporating updates such as virtual commerce (v-commerce) and artificial intelligence (AI) features. The platform is designed to enhance customer experience by offering customized solutions, product configurators, and AI-powered shopping assistants. Additional features include better reporting and analytics, enhanced search capabilities, and direct integration with partners’ CRM or ERP systems.
The MyShop platform, first launched nearly 10 years ago, has been a tool for resellers of all sizes to provide their customers with efficient ecommerce experience, offering product catalogs, quotes, and purchase options within the reseller’s own website, the company says.
For its fiscal year that ended Nov. 30, 2024, TD Synnex reported annual revenue of $58.45 billion. That’s a 1.56% increase from $55.57 billion in fiscal 2023.
