Another major distribution company is stepping into the marketplace business — this time targeting the dental industry. Henry Schein Inc. has launched a new online marketplace specifically for dental practices.
The platform will sell a variety of products designed to meet the needs of dental offices. Henry Schein is a global distributor of medical and dental supplies. It’s known for its wide range of products including vaccines, pharmaceuticals, financial services and equipment.

Now, the company is rolling out this marketplace in collaboration with The Dentists Supply Company (TDSC.com). TDSC.com is an affiliate and online-only distributor for dental professionals. The marketplace, currently in its pilot phase, will offer over 8,000 products, including office essentials such as printer ink, furniture, coffee pods and breakroom supplies.
“Henry Schein is excited to enhance its online offerings, delivering a seamless and convenient digital shopping experience for customers,” said Mark Hillebrandt, vice president and chief digital revenue officer. “By providing greater access to expertly curated products, we believe the Henry Schein Marketplace advances our digital transformation strategy and meets the growing demand for efficiency and cost management among dental customers.”
The marketplace will be integrated into TDSC.com, which already features a wide selection of competitively priced dental supplies and small equipment from selected manufacturers. Henry Schein plans to expand the marketplace’s reach through HenrySchein.com in 2025.
The new platform will also leverage technology from marketplace services provider Mirakl. According to Mirakl, the marketplace will offer 8,000 non-clinical products to dental professionals, creating a streamlined and efficient purchasing experience that consolidates multiple supply needs in one place.
The marketplace initiative represents a key strategic move for Henry Schein as it adapts to an industry where prioritizing digital transformation can be crucial in order to compete.
