Online retailers should use payment tools customers already know, like Venmo, says Scott Nixon, vice president of digital product management at Academy Sports and Outdoors. Venmo, he says, is a payment option the retailer of sporting goods added in September 2021 to its website checkout page.
“It’s about leveraging tools that customers are already using in their personal lives to reduce friction on Academy.com,” Nixon says.
