This Cyber 5 consumer insights infographic reveals survey data from 1,147 online shoppers after the Cyber 5 weekend, Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday. Highlights from the 2021 weekend include more consumers shopping online on Black Friday than on Cyber Monday—especially when compared with previous years. Plus, free shipping was harder to come by in 2021.

By the end of the Cyber 5, consumers have completed more than half of their holiday shopping and 59% of consumers have completed that shopping online, according to a Digital Commerce 360/Bizrate Insights Cyber 5 survey conducted in early December of 1,147 consumers. Online shopping over the 2021 Thanksgiving weekend mirrors 2019 shopping patterns. Survey respondents for each year are as follows: 2021 (1,147) vs. 2020 (1,113) vs. 2019 (1,073).

34% of online shoppers said they purchased more gifts in October and early November because of supply chain concerns. And 37% of consumers said they made a purchase on Cyber Monday compared with the 53% who did on Black Friday. Here are the full survey results:
