Europe is surely—but slowly—embracing B2B ecommerce. The data lags by nearly two years but as of 2019, European companies and organizations were conducting about 20% of business-to-business sales electronically, including about 13% via electronic data interchange and 7% through websites and apps or both. Those are two key takeaways from the 2020 survey of information and communications technology (ICT) usage and e-commerce in enterprises by the European Union. The annual survey includes a response from about 146,000 companies and organizations of varying size.
