Manufacturers have gotten the memo to embrace ecommerce, and the main point of the message was driven home by COVID 19, which changed how product makers balance sales channels. Today, 63% of manufacturers operate a commercial ecommerce platform to sell online, says a new survey of 800 companies by Sana Commerce. Manufacturers (63%) also are becoming active sellers on B2B marketplaces, Sana says. The takeaway for product makers: More companies are selling online but 81% of manufacturers face challenges with their current e-commerce experience, according to the survey.
