The Business Solutions Division of Office Depot generated the most revenue—nearly $1.2 billion—of the office supplies company’s three operating units during Office Depot’s most recently reported financial quarter, when its total sales came in at $2.54 billion.

And with the value that its B2B division provides customers, Office Depot wants to keep and continuing developing it in any potential deal to sell Office Depot assets to rival Staples, Joseph S. Vassalluzzo, chairman of ODP Corp. said in a letter last week to Staples’ owners, who offered $1.2 billion earlier this month to acquire all of Office Depot.
