Wingo, an ecommerce entrepreneur and expert, is resigning as executive chairman of technology vendor ChannelAdvisor Corp. four years after he stepped down as CEO of the company.

Ecommerce veteran Scot Wingo has resigned as executive chairman of the board of directors at ecommerce technology vendor ChannelAdvisor Corp., the company Wingo co-founded in 2001.

Wingo served as CEO of ChannelAdvisor from 2001-2015 and was the company’s board’s executive chairman after he stepped down as CEO in 2015. He will continue to serve on the board of directors, the company says, and Timothy Buckley is the new chairman.

ChannelAdvisor offers a number of online retail services, including software that helps retailers and manufacturers sell on marketplaces. More than 140 retailers ranked in Digital Commerce 360’s Top 1000, a ranking of the largest North American online retailers, use ChannelAdvisor as a vendor for ecommerce services such as channel management, fulfillment software and marketing. Top 1000 clients include Crocs Inc. (No. 283) and Build.com (No. 74).

Prior to founding ChannelAdvisor, Wingo co-founded online auction site AuctionRover.com, which was acquired by GoTo Auctions, and co-founded Stingray Software, which was acquired by RogueWave. In 2014, Wingo co-founded Get Spiffy Inc., an app that offers on-demand car services such as car washes and oil changes. He’s currently the CEO.
