All signs point to this holiday season shattering e-commerce sales records.

After all, consumers are rapidly shifting their spending online. For example, online sales accounted for 13.0% of total retail sales last year. And, in the first quarter of 2018, e-commerce accounted for 13.8% of total retail sales, a 1.4 percentage point increase from a year earlier, according to Internet Retailer estimates.
