Alice Delahunt joins Ralph Lauren from Burberry, and three new executives will oversee expansion of e‑commerce globally.

Ralph Lauren Corp. has named four executives to roles aimed at expanding the luxury retailer’s digital presence.

Alice Delahunt will become the retailer’s first chief digital officer, reporting directly to CEO Patrice Louvet, starting in April, the company said Wednesday. Delahunt most recently was director of digital marketing at Burberry Ltd., and “she will be responsible for elevating the company’s global digital platforms and enhancing the digital experience for consumers across all channels to drive consumer acquisition, retention, value and revenue,” the retailer says.

Ralph Lauren is No. 64 in the Internet Retailer 2017 Top 500 with Internet Retailer-estimated 2016 web sales of $809.9 million, down 9.0% from $890.0 million in 2015, according to Top500Guide.com.

“We are moving urgently to expand our digital presence all over the world and bringing in the right senior talent to help us deliver,” Louvet says. “We have to meet consumers where they are, which is increasingly online, and digital expansion is one critical way we will drive new growth for our iconic business and brand.”

The company also named Laura Porco senior vice president, e-commerce, for Ralph Lauren North America. She previously oversaw e-commerce for Ralph Lauren’s Club Monaco brand and worked 12 years with Amazon.com Inc. (No. 1 in the Top 500).

Valeria Juarez becomes senior vice president, e-commerce, international, after working since 2016 as senior vice president, e-commerce, Europe, Middle East and Africa. She held various senior roles at Amazon UK and Diageo before joining Ralph Lauren in fall 2016.

Galen Hardy is the retailer’s new senior vice president, Club Monaco e-commerce and business operations. He joins Ralph Lauren from Zappos (part of Amazon) where he ran apparel merchandising.

Ralph Lauren in May named Louvet, a veteran Procter & Gamble executive, as CEO. The French native most recently ran P&G’s global beauty business, which generated $11.5 billion in annual sales, and in 2016 sold a large piece of that business to Coty Inc. for $12.5 billion. Louvet replaced Stefan Larsson, who left in May after less than two years and a clash with founder Ralph Lauren over the creative direction of the retailer.

The company also announced appointments to its information technology leadership team as part of its digital expansion:

Janet Sherlock was named chief information officer in August, coming from Carter’s In. (No. 105), where she held the same same title. Cyrus Fenton will report to Sherlock as senior vice president, IT security & infrastructure, chief information security officer. He previously worked at Books-A-Million Inc., No. 646 in the Internet Retailer 2017 Top 1000overseeing its omnichannel digital business and information technology.
