Infographic: Online-only mattress brands gobble up market share from stores

In 2016, U.S. consumers purchased $7.08 billion worth of mattresses, up 4.4% from 2015. It’s the mattress brands that sell primarily online that are driving all of the growth in the category. Factoring out the online sales of the 11 mattress retailers profiled in the infographic below, the rest of the mattress industry would have registered a 3.0% decline in sales.
