The acquisition will bolster ChannelAdvisor’s new fulfillment and logistics platform.

ChannelAdvisor Corp. has acquired fulfillment and logistics vendor HubLogix Commerce Corp. for its fulfillment technology and expertise.

ChannelAdvisor, which offers a number of retail-centric services including helping retailers sell on online marketplaces, works with more than 200 retailers in the Internet Retailer 2017 Top 1000, such as Office Depot Inc. (No. 13), Lenovo Group Ltd. (No. 15), Bedding Pros LLC (No. 433) and Street Moda (No. 759). ChannelAdvisor has 127 Top 1000 clients that use its services for marketplace management, 90 for online advertising and 72 for comparison engine feeds, according to Top500Guide.com.

HubLogix has 150 fulfillment partners and automates order management by connecting online retailers to distribution and fulfillment centers. This improves retailers’ order accuracy and fulfillment speed, which can lower fulfillment costs, HubLogix says.

With the acquisition, announced Tuesday, ChannelAdvisor gains HubLogix’s fulfillment automation software and its distribution, fulfillment and supply chain employees. The vendors did not disclose a price for the deal. ChannelAdvisor said it does not anticipate the acquisition will make an impact on its 2017 revenue.

Earlier this year we announced the launch of our Fulfillment Network and our dedication to helping our customers streamline their logistics and provide the best customer experience down to the last mile,” ChannelAdvisor CEO David Spitz said in a release announcing the purchase. “This acquisition provides us the technology and expertise to further enhance our fulfillment offering and capabilities.”
