Ralph Lauren and Madison Reed hire their first chief marketing officers, and online beauty products retailer Beauty Brands hired a new CEO.

A number of professionals in the retail world have taken new positions recently. Here’s a look at who is going where in the industry:

  • Ralph Lauren Media, No. 53 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide, hired Jonathan Bottomley to be its chief marketing officer, a new position. He’ll start April 3. This will be the first retail position he has held, having spent the past four months as the chief strategy officer, North America, at Virtue, Vice Media’s global content agency. Prior to joining Vice, he spent more than a decade with ad agency BBH London, rising to become the agency’s chief strategy officer.
  • Online hair-care products retailer Madison Reed also hired its first chief marketing officer. Heidi Dorosin fills the newly created position after spending the past 20 years at The Clorox Co., rising to become the chemicals manufacturer’s general manager for its laundry business unit, according to her LinkedIn profile.
  • Online beauty products retailer Beauty Brands LLC has a new CEO. Caryn Lerner joins the retailer from investment firm Paladin Capital Group, where she spent nearly five years as operating partner. Lerner replaces Lyn Kerby, who will remain with the retailer as chairman of the board. Lerner also has worked with major retailers including QVC Group (No. 10 in the Top 500), Barneys New York Inc. (No. 168) and Jones New York (parent company Nine West Holdings Inc. is No. 205).
  • Omnichannel commerce platform Kibo Commerce has named Dirk Wakeham as its new president and chief operating officer. He replaces Ed Stevens, who remains with Kibo as a strategic board advisor. Wakeham spent the past four years as managing director of venture capital firm Westlake Ventures as well as the past 10 months at meetings technology provider Lanyon as its president and chief operating officer. Kibo was formed last year when e-commerce platform provider MarketLive Inc. merged with order fulfillment software firm Shopatron and mobile point-of-sale vendor Fiverun.
  • ChannelAdvisor Corp. hired Paul Forte as its chief revenue officer. Forte comes from online job board Monster, where he had been the executive vice president of North American sales. He also spent eight years with IBM, rising to become the technology giant’s vice president of software sales before leaving in April 2013. Forte replaces Ryan Walsh, who will serve as an adviser until the end of the first quarter, ChannelAdvisor says.
