Online lingerie retailer Yandy.com has a new CEO.
Thom Brodeur takes over the top spot from founding CEO Chad Horstman, who will remain a member of the company’s board of directors. Brodeur joins Yandy.com from accessories manufacturer Maria Shireen, where he spent seven months as president and chief operating officer. Brodeur also has worked at business design agency Tallwave, women’s health and wellness company EmpowHER and press release distribution service Marketwired.
“As with most successful startups, the time comes when a business transitions into the next phase of its growth,” Horstman said in a statement Wednesday announcing the change. “Following 10 years of rapid growth, we are fortunate to have reached that point, and couldn’t be more excited to have someone of Thom’s experience, passion and integrity leading Yandy through this next chapter.”
Sources close to Yandy.com say the company did around $50 million in sales in 2016, up an unspecified double digit percentage from 2015. Yandy.com made headlines during the 2016 presidential election when it rushed to market a “Sexy Ken Bone” costume aimed at capitalizing on the sudden popularity of a voter who asked a question during a debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Yandy.com has more than 30,000 products available for sale on its site. According to data from web traffic measurement firm SimilarWeb, Yandy.com draws an average of 3.397 million monthly visitors, with the vast majority of those visitors (60.92%) located in the United States.Favorite
