Affiliate Window, an affiliate network that says it works with more than 100,000 publishers, today announced it has acquired ShareASale, an affiliate network that works with 107 retailers in the Internet Retailer Top 1000, according to Internet Retailer’s Top500Guide.com. Affiliate Window works with four retailers in the Top 1000.
ShareASale says it works with roughly 4,500 advertisers and more than 100,000 publishers.
The acquisition aims to benefit both networks by coupling ShareASale’s market reach and brand equity with Affiliate Window’s account management, custom solutions and global reach, the companies say.

Affiliates played an important role in driving e-commerce sales during the 2016 holiday season. For instance, affiliates drove 15.8% of online sales from Nov. 1 to Dec. 5, according to Adobe Digital Insights. That’s behind search (39.5%), direct traffic (26.9%) and ahead of email marketing (15.4%).
