Wayfair Inc. is looking to do more e-commerce business with Canadian businesses.

The online furniture and home décor retailer launched a new business supply program this month at Wayfair.ca, its Canadian e-commerce site. Programs offered to Wayfair’s Canadian business clients will mirror those available at Wayfair Business, the e-commerce portal at WayfairSupply.com that Wayfair launched in August 2014 that serves business customers in the United States, the company says.

Wayfair organizes its business customers into eight categories on both its Canadian and U.S. e-commerce sites: Trade Services, which includes professionals like interior designers, architects, landscape architects, real estate developers and stagers; Pro, which includes construction contractors; Property Management; Office; Hospitality; Education; Healthcare; and Wayfair Business, which includes all other business customers. Wayfair Business charges no membership fees, nor does it require minimum purchase amounts.

Businesses that have set up accounts in Wayfair Business are eligible for individual product or volume discounts on the company’s 12 million available online SKUs; they also can request price quotes through the site and access a product comparison tool. All businesses are paired with a personal account manager who assists with product selections, custom orders, price quotes and delivery logistics. Business customers are not eligible for a Wayfair credit card.

“Whether sourcing furnishings for a residential setting or a commercial space, designers and business professionals now have one comprehensive, go-to resource for all of their furniture and décor needs,” Jessica Dowling, head of trade services at Wayfair, says. “Our Trade Services and business programs make it easier than ever for design and business professionals to find exclusive discounts on the right products and seamlessly manage projects with the support of a dedicated team of service professionals who understand their unique needs.”

The company does not break out the percentage of its 4.6 million active customers that are businesses, nor does it say what portion of its $540 million in sales went to businesses in its most recent third quarter, ended Sept.30, 2015. Wayfair is No. 33 in the Internet Retailer Top 500, which ranks companies on their annual web sales.
