The e-retailer launches its Entertainment Collectibles Store.

Have $25,000 burning a hole in your bank account, and still get goose bumps watching James Dean rebelling with or without adequate cause? Then Amazon.com Inc. has a new store for you.

The e-retailer, No. 1 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, today announced the launch of its Entertainment Collectibles Store. Consumers can browse and buy some 350,000 collectibles from the worlds of film, music and past and present pop culture, including the pricey size 7 motorcycle cap—unsigned but authenticated—worn by the 1950s film star. For those with more limited budgets, the store offers such items as a $5 limited edition master print photograph of Don Johnson during his “Miami Vice” glory days, the TV detective sporting enough stubble to make fans recall the fashion and grooming choices of the mid-1980s.

Shoppers can browse the items via such product attributes as item and entertainment type, autographed or not, price and year.  The store’s launch comes during the peak of the U.S. awards season, less than two weeks after the 2013 Grammy Awards and days before this Sunday’s Oscars. Amazon says the store includes items from this year’s film nominees, including props and wardrobe used in “Silver Linings Playbook.”

“Entertainment Collectibles is an exciting new category offering a vast selection of past and present movie, music and TV memorabilia,” says Peter Faricy, vice president of Amazon Marketplace. “Fans will find keepsake items from their favorite artists, actors and icons of entertainment, and aficionados will discover some of the rarest items for their collections. With hundreds of thousands of items, the store has a wide range of memorabilia to delight any entertainment enthusiast.”
