To support this growth, the company has launched Truck Stock, a new online category offering essential parts, tools, and accessories that HVAC technicians need for their service trucks or vans.

Parts Town Unlimited, a leading digital company with over $2 billion in annual sales, is expanding its footprint in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry. To support this growth, the company has launched Truck Stock, a new online category offering essential parts, tools, and accessories that HVAC technicians need for their service trucks or vans.

In addition to their original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, Parts Town now provides an expanded inventory, including capacitors, contactors, fuses, belts, filter driers, and related products. This initiative aims to reduce time spent by technicians making trips to supply houses or hardware stores.

“Time is money, and HVAC technicians can’t afford to lose it. Whether you’re working on a refrigerant leak, replacing a blower motor, or installing a new air conditioning system, Truck Stock has all the essentials to get the job done right away,” said Jeff Audette, senior vice president of HVAC at Parts Town.

Since launching its HVAC parts category in April 2023, Parts Town has continued to enhance its support for HVAC service technicians. Most recently, the company introduced the HVAC Data Plate Scanner, a tool that allows technicians to identify and purchase the exact parts they need by simply scanning the data plate on HVAC equipment.

“Technicians are the backbone of our industry,” Audette emphasized.

Traditionally, HVAC technicians had to manually decipher long models and serial numbers from data plates, a process prone to errors and delays. Parts Town’s new scanner uses optical character recognition (OCR) technology to streamline this process.

Paul Hancox, senior vice president of ecommerce at Parts Town, also discussed B2B ecommerce growth strategies during his presentation at the EnvisionB2B Forum in Chicago on Sept. 12.
