Skechers grows its domestic e-commerce by 36.3% in Q4.

Footwear manufacturer Skechers USA Inc. heads into 2017 riding a wave of domestic e-commerce momentum.

Chief operating officer David Weinberg told analysts on Skechers’ Q4 2016 earnings call that domestic e-commerce grew 36.3% year-over-year during the quarter ended Dec. 31. Skechers, No. 521 in the  Internet Retailer 2016 Top 1000, does not break out online sales in its quarterly earnings reports.

  • Mobile marketing company Retale, which provides retail circulars to consumers via a mobile app and website, acquired grocery shopping list Out of Milk on Feb. 8. Out of Milk has almost 10 million downloads and users have made more than 25 million shopping lists since the app’s launch in 2011. Retale, which has 25 million active users, uses the device’s location to show consumers current ads and coupons that are available near them.
  • Universal shopping cart software provider Shop.co acquired mobile shopping app Zen Shopping for an undisclosed price. In announcing the move, Shop.co announced plans to release a mobile app of its own.
