The almost 1-year-old merchant is adding delivery and personal instruction services to consumers in Los Angeles and Chicago.

Enjoy Technology Inc., an e-retailer that sells higher-end consumer electronics and has product experts deliver and provide up to an hour of training on how to use them at no additional charge, is expanding its service area.

The startup, which has ex-Apple Inc. and ex-J.C. Penney Co. Inc. exec Ron Johnson at the helm, officially entered the Los Angeles market this week, its third market following San Francisco and New York City. It will roll out in Chicago soon, the company says. Consumers can schedule the day and time they want to get their order, including the same day they place it. Enjoy.com says 98% of deliveries happen on time, and 97% of customers who review the service rate it five stars out of five.

The merchant, which has been taking orders for less than a year, is backed by $80 million in venture capital funding. Internet Retailer in December named Enjoy.com to its annual Hot 100 list of innovative e-retailers.

Several consumer electronics manufacturers, including Devialet, the maker of Phantom wireless speakers, have begun offering Enjoy.com’s delivery and instruction services to consumers purchasing on their sites. A pop-up window appears with the option at checkout.
