Kenneth Frank had been chief operating officer with Aptean, another company under the Vista Equity Partners umbrella.

The newly merged MarketLive Inc. and Shopatron company doesn’t yet have a name, but it does have a new CEO.

Global private equity firm Vista Equity Partners, which acquired MarketLive and Shopatron for an undisclosed price in early December, named Kenneth Frank as the company’s CEO. It’s a move within Vista for Frank, who had been chief operating officer of supply chain software provider Aptean. Frank’s experience includes management roles at Alcatel-Lucent, networking and security software vendor Masergy Communications and now-defunct Zephion Networks.

“These firms (MarketLive and Shopatron) are known as market leaders in providing software solutions for retailers and branded manufacturers around the world,” Frank said. “I look forward to adding my global experience to the incredible track record of their talented leadership and staffs, and to ensuring their merger offers the seamless in-store and digital experiences consumers increasingly demand.”

Current MarketLive CEO Ken Burke tells Internet Retailer in an e-mail he will be leaving the newly-merged company at the end of 2016.

“I will stay on to support the business in the transition as well as anything else be business needs for up to the next year,” he says. “I am very excited about our future and our new CEO.”
